Pre Sales Support

Most consulting, software and systems integration companies are strong at technology but lack specialized business analysis skills within the organization. This often results in the submission of brief proposals for work without documenting the details. The brief proposals do not build confidence in the customers about your understanding of their business, your resources and your attention to detail. Producing draft systems specifications at the pre sales level proves to the customer that you understand their business, have a large pool of resources backing you up, and understand the importance of detail and documentation.

Arden Systems has created the Pre Sales Support service to assist companies in the pre sales process and to drastically increase their closing rates. The companies who can benefit most from this service are:
  • Systems Integration Companies

  • Consulting Companies

  • Software Service Companies

  • Indian and Chinese Offshore Development Companie
The three main areas where your company can benefit from Arden Systems Pre Sales Support service are
listed below:

  • Building a detailed design and proposal for a new system

  • Reviewing existing processes and documenting them

  • Reviewing and evaluating software product

Pre Sales Support Documents

Detailed design and proposal:

1. Operational Concept Description (OCD)
The Operational Concept Description (OCD) describes a proposed system in terms of the user needs it will fulfill, its relationship to existing systems or procedures, and the ways it will be used. The OCD is used to obtain consensus among the customer, developer, support, and user agencies on the operational concept of a proposed system. Depending on its use, an OCD may focus on communicating the user's needs to the developer or the developer's ideas to the user and other interested parties. The term "system" may be interpreted to apply to a portion of a system.

2. Functional Requirements Specification (FRS)
The Functional Requirements Specification (FRS) specifies the requirements for a system or subsystem and the methods to be used to ensure that each requirement has been met.

Review and evaluate software products:

1. Product Comparison Description (PCD)
The Product Comparison Description (PCD) compares two or more products or software from a user's perspective. It provides the user with enough up-to-date information to evaluate and make an informed decision regarding use of any of the products/software in question.
