Salaried IT Professionals can often end up costing even more than their consultant counterparts and are, obviously, similarly in demand worldwide. Arden has prepared the following graph to illustrate the enormous range in typical salaries worldwide. Not accounted for in this graph are the phenomenal "extra costs" of having an IT Professional on-staff. These include: office equipment (computers, modems, UPSs, desks, chairs, etc.), office space rental, recruitment company fees, government taxes, paid holiday and sick leave, initial and/or on-going training, travel costs, time lost while travelling and perks, as well as innumerable others.
